Quality assurance
Test planning, frontend and backend testing, regression, issue investigation and writing defects people can actually work with.
Professional / curriculum vitae
I’m a Senior QA Engineer. Before that I worked in IT support, operations, process engineering and hardware testing.
01 / Profile
I started by testing laptop motherboards, then moved through process engineering, advanced IT support and logistics operations before getting into software QA. The route looks a bit messy on paper, but every job involved figuring out why something was not working and what to do next.
These days I spend most of my time working out how a change should behave, where it can break, how to reproduce a problem and how to explain it clearly enough that somebody can act on it.
Outside work I build and host small web projects and keep learning Python and SQL. They are useful technical side skills, but QA is still the job.
02 / Skills
Test planning, frontend and backend testing, regression, issue investigation and writing defects people can actually work with.
Reproducing issues, narrowing down the conditions and following the problem until I know something useful.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and VPS hosting on my own projects, plus Python and SQL that I’m still learning.
Documentation, knowledge articles, workshops and training, plus a lot of translating between customers, analysts and technical teams.
03 / Experience
